(on today’s practice) “Today was a tough practice. I thought we did a good job today in practice. Our guys really competed. They finished practice both sides of the ball, a lot of good situations came up, a lot of situations that can illustrate what complementary football is all about. So I thought it was a really good day and, look, it’s not easy out here. It’s training camp. We run a tough program and these guys really did a good job today."

(on the defense) “I mean, yeah, the defense has to be a nasty unit. You have to go out there and you have to have that bit of edge to you, you have to have that mentality that nobody is going to run the ball on you, nobody is going to pass the ball on you, so we go out here every day and that’s what we’re working on. Now, we’re not going to be successful every single time, obviously, but that’s what training camp is for. Every single day we’re working towards that.”
